ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM REGIONAL

Launch Consultation
Tuesday, September 14 at 17h, the Brittany Region (represented by Beatrice Le Marre, Associate Regional Housing Advisor and health, president of the Solidarity Committee, Anne Camus, Regional Councillor), the Regional Health and the Prefecture has launched the consultation on the regional program of environmental health 2 (2011-2015).

The Regional Environmental Health 2 (WSC) 2011-2015 was designed to meet the current challenges to environmental health in Britain. September 15 to November 10, 2010, it is submitted for advice to various local health environment (presidents of county councils, presidents of countries, mayors, institutional, chambers, associations and the general public) are invited to submit their comments and suggestions. Introduced by
the public health law of 9 August 2004 and confirmed by the Grenelle Environment Act and the Hospital, Patients, Health Planning, the WSC wants to be the reference document, shared by all actors and population, the priorities for the relationship between health and the environment in Britain. It should inspire other health plans or the environment that interact with it.
It must also help build a culture of environmental health in the region, being the initiator of discussion, reflection and action on environmental health concerns. Finally, by integrating aspects of quality of life and strengthening the capacity for action of individuals, the WSC Britain is deeply rooted in health promotion as defined by the World Health Organization.

A wide consultation upstream
Draft PRSE result of a major consultation and co-build with different partners [State Services, DREAL (1), DIRECCTE (2), DRAAF (3), ARS (4), associations, representatives of business ...] under the joint chairmanship of the President Regional Council, the regional prefect and the Director General of the regional agency for health.
Prior to the formalization of the program, several meetings were held in workshops. The paper that resulted was then the subject of consultation via an online survey and departmental meetings, which helped refine the definition of issues and possible actions proposed ..

The strong involvement of the Region
If the Brittany Region has contributed significantly to work on the WSC 2, it has also agreed to launch jointly with the Regional Prefecture and the Regional Agency for Health consultation which precedes the finalization. It is indeed an interest, under its own commitment on environmental issues and health, that this program is strongly echoed and debated within the Breton population.
